Colonel Demeke Zewdu to be released from jail

Col. Demeke Zewdu, a previous rebel and resigned military officer, is considered by numerous as the pioneer of the Gondar uprising and resistance in the Amhara region of Ethiopia.

It is to be reviewed that the uprising in Gonder was started by government endeavor to capture colonel Demeke Zewdu just on the grounds that he was chosen pioneer of Wolqaite personality question council. At the point when government security powers came to catch, if conceivable, or execute him, Colonel Demeke battled back against security powers and murdered no less than three of them.

The prosecutor  accused him taking missions from Patriotic Ginbot 7 to destabilize the country. They were also accused of killing and abduction of local officials in Gondar and Tigray.

Colonel Demeke Zewdu was accused of killing 11 regime security forces and injuring 7 police officers.

Today, according to Muluken Tesfaw’s Facebook post,  the Government decide to terminate his charge and to be free in the coming days.
